During the Iraq conflict the RAF saw a use for the sentinal hawk as a multirole fighter and not just a CAS, Recon and hydro plane. The removal of the landing floats reduced drag significantly leading to supersonic speeds from the aircraft. It was used alongside the MK2 but much less were built (only around 500 were build paling in comparison to the 2000 of the MK2). It didnt have many significant uses except for blowing up bridges and a infamous raid on Saddam Husseins bunker complex. Thanks for reading please consider upvoting and following.
