@General360 I got this from an old P-47 pilot as well, as well as from flying this plane extensively in a number of simulators. The tail wheel does not steer.
@General360 No, the tail wheel on the P-47 could be set in one of two modes: fully swiveling (but not steerable), or fully locked.
