This aircraft was one of the first versions of Kurt Tanks famous FW-190, this design though was to test if the airframe could mount BMW's 802 radial engine, at the same time he tried to make the front of the plane more aerodynamic then normal radial designs, this aircraft did fly but it's main fault was the aerodyanmic cowling, there wasnt't enough air gettint to the engine casuing to overheat during flight, it's test piloted described that during flight he felt like his feet were burning, so this design was scrapped and replaced by the Focke-Wulf that we know today
