Tupolev Tu-154 IRAN AIR TOUR
"Tupolev crashed again", "Death Bird", "Air Death Bus", "Tupolev Death", "Bird Shroud" ... These are the descriptions of one of the most successful commercial aircraft made in the former Soviet Union and present-day Russia in the minds of many Iranians. This content is copied from the plane blog. The Tupolev Tu-154 is a short-range three-engine aircraft that first flew on October 4, 1968, and was officially launched on February 7, 1972. Tupolev built a total of 1,026 of these jets, of which less than 100 were at the disposal of Iranian companies at various times. Also, since 1968, there have been 39 deadly Tupolev 154 accidents worldwide, most of them due to aircraft-related factors or their widespread use in harsh conditions, and 4 of these 39 cases have occurred in Iran.
