4th Generation Fighter Challenge [CLOSED]
My first challenge to be held, by MBR6753 himself -
4th Generation Fighter Challenge
Information
Fourth generation fighters are the prime classifications of fighter aircraft used in the 1980s to present - with design concepts from the 1970s, dominantly the General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon, the Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker family, and the Boeing F-15 Eagle. They inherit such sleek designs, robust internals, wider selection of ordnance/weapons, newer technologies, et cetera.
This includes the use of having multi-role capabilities and advanced weaponry to strike off enemy forces. They were after all, the successors to the aging 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen fighters, in which the veterans are honored to fly with. 5th generation jets, in the very soon future will outlast the current technologies, but will still be companions with these 4th generation jets we usually see.
I LOVE 4th generation fighter jets, so does my favorite 4th gen aircraft, the F-15 Eagle and the F-15E Strike Eagle. But I wanted to see every man's own design or one derived from the real one in this SimplePlanes community. I am really fascinated with these designs, after all (so does my ATF-60 Roon), so I just wanted to start this challenge on behalf of the dedication to the pioneers of military aviation industry.
Rules
1. As always, it MUST BE a successor.
No further words, that's just it.
2. Follow these design principles (I consider them as part of rules.)
I. Can go two ways. It can be a replica of a real one - have the artifacts be based off the real one. Or, it must be your own design (Yup, fictional). You can also derive it from somewhat a real-world aircraft (A much more robust F-16 or high-agilty F-15, that's your call). Lockheed Martin or not, something straight from Osea, I consider that too. Can be carrier-worthy, also.
II. Can be multi-role, air superiority, or strike attack. Weaponry must be adequate to these three roles I mentioned. (I love strike fighters more, but what role you can use, is what you have in mind.)
III. Must be around 100-650 parts, as long it is MOBILE-FRIENDLY to some devices. My phone does good, after all. If not meeting 100 points, there be a minus point depending on the tens before 100
IV. Use any choice you like - Traditional wings, sweep wing, forward sweep, canard-delta configuration, thrust vectoring, and better maneuverability as long it is 4th gen.
V. 4.5 and 4++ gens are counted.
VI You can slap in some roundels, I'd like to see them. (your call)
VII. Trial and error must be done, too. As well for using engines, too. (also to those who want to use custom gears. Because I can consider that.)
VIII. Want it Ace Combat-esque? You can do color schemes of any kind or why not Belka's? (Or have it all gray like USAF and others have) You'll get a reminder later on, if you read til' the end.
3. Mods are not allowed (as of version 1.9), but you can use FineTuner, Overload, and Designer Suite. And yes XML modding is allowed
As of 1.9, mod support is gone, but hey. Overload, Fine Tuner, and Designer Suite are integrated right here.
4. It should be your own post.
Slap in some lore and information there, but as always, there is Rule #1
5. There be any restrictions.
Parts Choice: Fuselage blocks are better to use. Making it detailed would be nice, as long as Rule 2, Principle III.
Speed: To fly NO FURTHER than Mach 2.8 and 3.1 exact. I know some jets go Mach 1.8, and Mach 2.2, but it is for you to calculate. (Rule #2, Principle VII)
Engines: Must be in single-engine or twin-engine configuration. You can stack in some engines to make it look real from the inside (talk about GE F414), but that's your call.
Weapons: Any custom weaponry of a specified role is considered. For cannons, of course, only a single Gatling cannon or a double-barrel GSh can work. In other words, 1x Gatling gun or 1x double barrel GSh. Single-barrel is considered. Oh, and its millimetre range is 50mm (if you use the cannon part). Explosive bullets? I get ya. Countermeasures are permitted, of course.
Design: Single tail or twin tail can do, by exact. But as always, Rule 2, Principle I. Custom cockpits make some phones LAGGG tho, but it depends.
Year of Introduction: STRICTLY 1970s and 1980s-present, as considered for the 4th gen fighter design language. Could you mention the information with the year in it, it would be good.
Maneuverability: Must be adequate to the real one in terms of aerodynamics. Thrust vectoring is applicable (not all fighter jets have thrust vectoring, anyway).
6. Max of 1-3 submissions.
It depends on your effort, since the deadline is just as far...
7. Read these rules thoroughly.
That's all.
Testing
Section One
How it takes off, flies, and lands. (I need to butter landings, after all. Even ones in carriers, if it is carrier-worthy or not)
How is the speed and max speed accuracy of the plane, single or twin engined.
Section Two
Multi-role weaponry test - How these weapons stand out on air, land and sea.
Air-to-air weaponry test - How these weapons do in air-to-air combat versus bandit or bogie. Can be also in air superiority, too, as considered. Dogfights can be done if desired.
Strike fighter weaponry test - A load of ground weapons used to strike off ground targets, so as the BRRRRRT
Section Three
Maneuverability, upon how the airframe does its best, or the thrust vectoring capabilities. I may not be good at handling them, but I need to practice more to reevaluate the usage. (+4 points for thrust vectoring)
Additional functions, if ever. (+1 points each in Judging #1)
Judging
This system is rated from 1 to 20.
Design and artifacts.
Details.
Weapons of choice in any role (starts with 4)
Maneuverability and agility.
Weapons performance. (Evaluated within all weaponry tests on second section of main tests)
Stability.
Looks (in terms of paint scheme, +1 if nicely presented, +3 if Ace Combat-esque)
Some examples you can derive or be inspired from
McDonnell Douglas/Boeing F-15 Eagle family
General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon
Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker family
...and many more 4th gen jets...
DEADLINE IS AT June 25, 11:30pm PHILIPPINE TIME
Grand Prize: COMING SOON!
Rewards
1st place - 20+ upvotes, plus spotlights, and a grand prize

Tips
If you want, put an effort to these planes, but at least follow all the rules as directed. Do your best as you create such very nice 4th gen fighters which captured every man's determination to protect the sky and land.
And also, add some passion, and ask God to help you give the knowledge on behalf of your hidden talents in the SP community. <3

YEET
@Alta2809 oooooo
@MBR6753 Yeah. I may not get it in on time tho, im working on another challenge and i've got school
@Alta2809 Take your time yo
Man i so badly want to enter this, but i don't think i've got the time, as im doing another challenge
@MBR6753 ah I see, okay I understand
@DimitriIqbal91 Trial and error - making sure your plane maneuvers good, as well if you use custom landing gear, you need to land smooth on touchdown
Umm, what's the meaning of rule 2 principle 7?
@DimitriIqbal91 Please do
Damn it, why I just found this challenge now. I hope I found this earlier, regardless I will try to participate in this challenge
@Darkhound Aye
@MBR6753 also i sent u discord friend request
@MBR6753 Not yet. We already had a design but somebody burnt the blueprints to crisp ash (uninstalled game and lost my project even though I placed the .xml file in a different folder from SP's android/data folder.)
@Darkhound Is it ready yet?
@Darkhound Sure enough
Darkhound Corporation is interested in making a German participant for this challenge.
@qwerty132 Good
Just released my entry
@Evenstsrike333 Suuuure
I will create Typhoon again
@Parshainaerospace In case, Download in here and get your f-16 as a subassembly, the reposition the cockpit to its desired place
@Parshainaerospace You have my chance
