Chairman Custom

"Unhinged, unrestrained by regulation, honor, or any notion of balance."

Made for Flightsonic's XML fighter challenge. No special controls, really, except that the missiles instantly lock, at any angle. Oh, and start in the air.

The Chairman custom is a prototype fighter crafted by Isaac Gomez, the board chairman of SPEcorp. Gomez based the design on the Sol:Agressor, a star-shaped fighter prototype used by the Badlands-Based T-Corp. Due to its prohibitively expensive cost, as well as expansive arsenal, the Chairman Custom will never enter a state of mass-production.
The prototype was constructed in Gomez’s Nexus-based estate. In this estate, a landing port was tailored for use with the aircraft, as its unusual shape and unique CoM placement make it impossible to land without the use of a specially-designed docking port. Gomez intentionally designed this apparent flaw, as it ensures that no standard criminal could steal his custom fighter.
As for weapons, the Chairman Custom has no shortage of advanced air-to-air weapons. A heavy pulse laser is central to the design, as it can shred armor. Two heavily modified REFLEX missile arrays also lock on to targets instantly, at any angle. Fast moving missiles launch from the REFLEX arrays to intercept the target with stunning speed and precision.
When the controls are relinquished to AI, the fighter becomes effective to an inhuman degree. Gomez designed his custom fighter to work in such a way, as aside from his family, no residents of his estate were permitted to fly his custom aircraft. As a result, the aircraft can be flown without a pilot, and can achieve supermaneuvrability without harming the pilot. However, the Chairman Custom can support a living pilot. It features a unique standing cockpit for a comparatively massive viewing angle with the tradeoff of the pilot experiencing more force from banks and turns.
