The KAMCO Diplomat is a subcompact sedan manufactured by the Krakabloan Automobile Manufacturing Company (KAMCO), a Krakabloan state owned car manufacturer. Classified as an economy car and one of the cheapest vehicles in the world, the Diplomat can reach speeds of 127km/h and has 48.3L fuel tank. It is powered by a 500cc KAMCO Enduro Lite HJ817 engine and can seat 5 people. It is Krakabloan Federation's first locally produced car and one of two civilian models made by KAMCO, the other being Marauder Safari and it's planned 5-door variant. Surprisingly, the vehicle is still is in its design when it was first introduced 12 years ago and has not got a single redesign and facelift except for the dashboard, trim, interior and model types.

History

In 2007, 4 years after the independence of the Krakabloan Federation, KAMCO (MilCorp) planned an economy car, which can provide personal transportation for Supreme Democracy party members, politicians and government workers and also civilians. The design for the car was supposed to be a rebadged version of the H0nda CRV, but with basic specifications. However, due to design errors the design was scrapped, and MilCorp redesigned the planned car but this time, it was a sedan. MilCorp planned for the car to be inspired from the FIAT Siena, and the plan worked. A year later, after rigorous testings, fixing all mechanical and design flaws, the first unit of the Diplomat, was rolled off the assembly line at East Tauro'a Industrial, Science, and Manufacturing Complex in Tauro'a, Province of New Keewatin (then Nuakiwatini Region). The Diplomat found fame and success as Krakabloa's first car, currently has 20,991 units sold, exports to Russia, India, Ukraine, Japan, and countries in the Middle East. But the famed vehicle has cons In 2013, a 5 door trim, which was a hybrid of the model's proposed design and its current design was made available for purchase by the public. A lower cost, 10 seater version of the 5-door trim without air-conditioning and gear shift (gear shift is located behind the steering wheel) was produced for wake-wake (a Krakabloan traditional privately operated share taxi that operates on cities, towns, and provinces alongside the mostly government owned transportation system) drivers and operators. A 2015 EURO NCAP research and crash testing has found the car had no drivers and front seat airbags, defective seatbelts, and no back seat seatbelts, so the vehicle got 1 safety stars. But it didn't stop the model's production and still famed as the country's first locally produced vehicle.

In 2021, KAMCO had proposed for an ute and cargo/panel van trim of the Diplomat. The proposal is still in its final design stages, while release of the final design will be on November 8 and will commence mass production on December 2021. The ute and cargo/panel van trims will be also exported to Australia, Russia, Philippines, Mexico, the Philippines, Quad Partite Pact countries, Africa and many European and Asian countries. The export version will be named as Weightlifter (ute trim will be named Bathtub) while the locally produced version of the 2 trims will be named as Diplomat Camel/Diplomat Courier.
