North American T-6 Texan
Here is my attempt at replicating the T-6 Texan. Probably, my favorite trainer, the T-6 is amazing. I have wanted to make a fairly detailed airplane where the cockpit was “interactive” for some time now but didn’t really know what to make. I decided on a trainer aircraft since they aren’t too complex...at least in theory. Since there is now the availability to use blueprints next to your airplane to be more accurate, I will be making a remastered version of this airplane to be a bit more accurate. In that post, I will have more pictures, info on the plane, etc.
Controls(NOTE: the controls are close to the start-up procedure order but not exact)
AG1: Fuel Selector(VTOL)
AG2: Mixture Selector(VTOL)
AG3: Battery
AG4: Engine Primer(VTOL)
AG5: Magnetos, Engine Starter(Throttle)
AG6: RPM Selector(VTOL/ To adjust RPMs set RPM selector to 100 and use throttle to adjust RPM gauge)
AG7: Generator(VTOL), Avionics
AG8: Trim(Trim)
VTOL: Flaps
Startup Procedures(HINT I advise setting VTOL to the middle after every step and turning off the AG group after using it except AG3, AG5, and AG8)
Select fuel tank
Set throttle to 5 percent
Set mixture to RICH
Set RPMs to 0
Turn battery ON
Prime engine 4 times(5-6 if cold)
Engage engine starter and turn on BOTH magnetos
Obtain 500-600 RPMs
Turn generator ON
Turn avionics ON
There you have it my 1st T-6 Texan. Thank You!
