Hansa-Brandenburg D.I
2,113 Turdy1
8.5 years ago
Entering service in 1916, the Hansa-Brandenburg D.I was Austria Hungary's first indigenous fighter design. Due to issues synchronizing the Schwarzloze machine gun, the aircraft's lone gun was mounted in a gun pod mounted on the upper wing. Performance was lacking, and there were numerous stability issues, mostly owing to the tail design. Despite these issues, many Austro-Hungarian pilots would become aces in the Hansa-Brandednburg D..I
Notes: Many of the stability issues are also present in my aircraft. It's manageable, though. Also, no barrel rolls.
