The R-100X was a prototype build by Weird Co and is funded by the US Military. It is currently going through tests conducted in Area 51. It is designed for long-ranged hypersonic flights.

During the tests, couple major issues have been discovered, most significantly, the extremely short range of the plane. The plane is also too slow. It was designed for hypersonic flight but only exceeds Mach at 20,000 ft.

However, due to its maneuverability, it is capable of accomplishing tight turns on hands of experienced pilots. The idea of changing the plane in to a medium ranged fighter is being discussed.

The plane is still undergoing tests and a improved version might be created.
