2024 Year End Challenge [CLOSED]
2024 Year End Challenge
2024 is almost gone, and the SimplePlanes2 may be coming soon. I would like to call for a last challenge for this year and maybe a last challenge during the era of SimplePlanes1. I love replicas with a nice history background. I would love to see less-known planes including experimental projects and some never developed beyond the drawing board. But you can build whatever you like, military or civilian.
Reading the rules is also part of the challenge, so READ
Rules:
1) Must be a successor (download this and start building on it)
2) Maximum is 399 parts, Minimum is 49.
3) It must be an aircraft from the post-WW2 to the current.
(both all airplanes and all sorts of helicopters)
4) NO meme, egg planes will be considered for the prize, but you can build.
5) Extra points for wise and creatively used parts
6) 3 entries per person (only the best one will count for the prize. But all of them may get upvotes+spotlight if they are great)
7) XML editing is encouraged, but no modding, please
RATING SYSTEM
The overall rating will be judged from the mean of the points below.
* Overall Looks and details, proportion: 0-10 pts
* Aircraft livery: 0-10 pts
* Inflight Performance: 0-10 pts.
* Takeoff and landing : 0-10 pts.

Awards
The top 3 people will get: 9 upvotes & 3 spots
Suppose you won the challenge, but if you do not have enough planes in your collection to upvote, then I can't help, sorry. I do not use multiple accounts to upvote. EVERY DECENT BUILD WILL GET AN UPVOTE, and Good ones will get a SPOT ONCE UPON UPLOAD.
I may follow you if I am interested in your work.

@MrCOPTY be happy- do what pleases you. This game is for joy -
@WinsWings I'm kinda active but, idk what i have to build
Everytime i open the game i leave just after, seeing all the WIPs & uncomplicated projects freak me out
:<
@MrCOPTY I am glad you come back at least :)
I miss that time when...i had time.
I'm late :(
@WinsWings most likely end up Jerry rigging a previous aircraft (most likely a B-53) into a era "accurate" plane
@Boeing727200F Making a fictional is easy, but making it "look convincing" is hard.
@Boeing727200F Well, say you did a 1950s-era fighter jet, you could get inspiration from Mig-15, 17,19 , Vampire, Hawker Hunter,,etc.
@WinsWings sure
sure i will
only problem is how am I suppost to turn a shitpost into an aircraft that represent SOME era (if I even go with it)
@Boeing727200F if you make fictional, make sure it represents the era and your description.
does it have to be a real aircraft?
Still looking for a decent post WWII craft to build, though.
Alright imma make an attack helicopter
@Foxy2502myria Wait imma change for a simple helicopter
Now time for a simple anti aircraft vehicle
oh no the deadline is closing in, i better finish my plane fast
but im worried that my plane would exceed the max part count
@WinsWings https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/Bx47FP/WinsWings-2024-B-17C-Gunship I hope it's good and how do I film a video on simple planes and put the video here on mobile?
Imma make the most simplest bomber
I just posted mine!
@LieutenantSOT no problem. XFR1 is still fine
@WinsWings Yessir! Will do
.
To make it past the grey area, I'm specifically doing the experimental 1947 one that had the jet engine that was more powerful, the XFR-4. I'm trying to get as much detail as I can in her
@LieutenantSOT well as it is in the "grey area" do it if you love it. Make sure you put both Jet and piston engines - lov to see
Would the Ryan FR-1 Fireball be okay for this challenge? It was built as Japan surrendered in late 1945 and served until 1947
I have the perfect idea for this give me a day 🤔💡
