The Heinkel He 219 was a night fighter that served with the Luftwaffe in the final years of World War II.[4] A sophisticatedly designed plane, created by Heinkel, it contained a number of innovations, including a Lichtenstein SN-2 radar.[5] It had a pressurized cockpit, double rudder in the tail, was the first military aircraft equipped with an ejector seat[6] and the first operational German aircraft with tricycle landing gear.[5]
It was perhaps the only German plane capable of standing up to the American Northrop P-61 and the British de Havilland Mosquito, After If. well he was better
