This is a replica of the C-82 Packer used in the 1965 version of the movie "Flight of the Pheonix" where a crew crashes in the deasert and builds a plane from thier wreck in order to escape. great flick and they made a pretty good remake in 2009 also.
This plane flys perfectly at 300 mph and maintains its altitude very well for long transport jobs in rough areas.
(Corrections) the fusalage drifted forward while i was building last night and i didnt notice. I corrected that and now the plane flys level with much less ballast.

@zed thanks for that truck load of UpVotes! I need two favors from you.
1:keep making awesome fun simple planes at what ever rate you want, I loved that you could create fun SimplePlanes at the pace you did.
2:please don't feel the need to upvote my builds unless they genuinely excite you. I would prefer upvotes on the basis of merit to a tit for tat upvote. Im super stoked you're back!
I was going to do that tonight (: I've got something different planned that I think might be neat.
Need someone to make the Phoenix?
