Description

The S-200 (NATO reporting name SA-5 Gammon) is a high altitude long range air defence system developed and produced by the Soviet Union in the 1960s, it was used mainly to defend highly strategic areas against large strategic bombers and other aerial threats, a typical S-200 missile complex consists of six 5P72 missile launchers, one 5N62 fire control radar, and several air surveillance radars, namely the P-14 "Tall King", 5N87 "Back Trap" or Kabina 66 "Back Net", P-35 "Bar Lock", PRV 11 "Side Net" or PRV 13 "Odd Pair", and P-15M " Squat Eye". The missiles used on this system is the 5V21, which is a large missile with a range of up to 300km depending on the variant, the missile consists of a large body with four triangular fins and four smaller control fins, in addition the missile also had four huge boosters to launch it from the ground, which would be jettisoned 3-5 seconds after launch, this allowed the missile to start at an altitude to save fuel thus increasing range.

In this SimplePlanes version, well, it is a smaller complex of the S-200VE "Vega Export" surface-to-air missile system, with one 5N62 fire control radar on the centre surrounded by three 5P72VE launchers carrying 5V28 missiles, on the corner of the complex there is the P-35 air surveillance radar, it exists for the sole purpose of spinning so that it looks cool. Just like my S-75, the missiles are only great against long range and high altitude targets, but against close range targets it sucks even more than it, because literally your minimum distance to the target is 17km, the missile just can't manuever that well, however range is this missile is made for, with 240km of range, you can hit a target on Maywar all the way from the edge of Snowstone, with the missile only traveling for about 2 minutes with it's speed of about Mach 8, all in all, it's a pretty potent long range missile.

Notes

The missile kinda "sways" at launch so the missile would always end up facing offset from the target, pretty sure it has something to do with the gyros on the boosters
