BF 109 J-8
The allies are losing on all fronts. Germany needed a modernized Bf 109 to act as an interceptor (bomber interception). The allies have lost Britain, All land in the USSR west of the Ural Mtns., and about 73% of the mainland US. Even with that, and the german's force field around their factories, the allies continue to do harm to the german civilian population. Armed with ~12 cannon (~6 20mm Mg 151 ~3 30mm Mk108 cannon, and ~3 Mk40 (B) 40mm cannon [the (b) stands for british as they are captured 40mm british guns]). It served well until replaced in 1953 with the Me 262 E-7 and He 162 F-9. It also carries a Boom 50 & 2 Boom 25s. It was also the last german propeller fighter with a 6 blade propeller as the FW 190 carried a 7 blade propeller. It was made prodominantly of light alloy from across Europe, with the wings being made of some unknown substance codenamed “fusalage block”. It is driven by a DB 610 engine, which uses turboprop technology, but is mainly a piston engine. Allied intelligence has been unable to find out more even though they have a captured aircraft steve- get back to work!
