Curtiss SB2C Helldiver
SPECIAL THANKS TO @Weaverfish FOR THE CUSTOM COCKPIT!!! Check him out, he makes awesome WWII replicas as well!
Check below for instructions (click "read more")
Here it is! In midst of the floatplane series cancellation, I bring you, the Helldiver V2, packed with a more realistic look and loads of new features! I've equipped it with two 2000 pound bombs, so you can take out the USS Beast with ease.
Controls:
CAM 1: Cockpit View
CAM 2 and 3: Bomb View
1 + VTOL: Folding Wings (Curtiss planes had no sto-wings, they were patented by Grumman)
2 + VTOL: Dive Brakes and Bomb Bay Doors
Instructions:
To bomb: Start between 3000 to 6000 ft above target. Idle engine, then open bomb bay and extend dive brakes (2 + VTOL). Trim all the way up (to counteract the brakes pitching the plane up), then enter a 60 to 90-degree dive. Aim your bombs using the red lines on the sight (CAM 1), then release bombs between 1000 to 1500 ft then pull up hard, full throttle, trim to neutral (or whatever it take to maintain level flight at your speed) and close bomb bay and retract dive brakes. This is essential as if you are below 1000 ft when the bomb explodes, the plane is hit with the blast (1 well placed hit with 1 bomb is enough to take out the USS Beast). Well, have fun!

Really nice work writing the diving instructions. I hit an escort destroyer on the first try. A+
@CRJ900Pilot Thank you dude!
@Tang0five Thanks!
Absolutely amazing!
Woah this totally works although I should have given myself more altitude as my attack run turned divine wind on me! Great job!
