Curtiss F9C-2 Sparrowhawk 9056
2,113 Turdy1
8.6 years ago
Bureau Number 9056 was the first of six F9C-2 Sparrowhawks built for the US Navy's airship program in 1930. This is how it appeared in late 1934, with royal red section markings and a black tail. 9056 currently resides in the Smithsonian Air and Space Center, though there is substantial evidence to indicate the aircraft is actually 9264, the protoype XF9C-2.
Notes:
All six Sparrowhawks I've uploaded are made to the correct size as the originals, but feature retractable landing gear to compensate for the lack of removable, spatted gear used on the originals, and they have their guns moved to the wings, as the game lacks synchronized guns.
