R.M. was a new company at the time of World War 1, so nobody knew who they were. They made drawings of the Sky Shooter back in 1915. A few months after that, the first tester was built. It had a successful first flight! So they put this thing into production. It shot down more than 300 German aircraft, and many more from other countries. 1,534 were built.
