Northrop F-5E Tiger II

Just a few changes from my original upload. The F-5 Freedom Fighter was a light, and nimble little fighter. It's small size and simple design made it easy to fly and maintenance. It served in the Cold War, perhaps Vietnam War as well. The 1970s next-generation F-5E Tiger II is the fighter of choice for most of the UN allies. Because of it's simplicity, the Tiger II is still being used today, which is awesome!

Now here's a disclaimer. You know if you sometimes pull too hard on the pitch, and the aircraft starts to buck, and kick? That's because the SimplePlanes simulator engine was based on the Boeing simulators. The Boeing simulator (sim) uses this bucking, and kicking of the aircraft as an anti-stall countermeasure—like if the aircraft is pulling too many G's, and is going to stall. The Boeing sim was built to simulate the flight of commercial aircraft, not fighter aircraft, so the sim doesn't allow fighters to use this controlled high-G stall to maneuver in a dogfight. Now if SP was built on a Laminar sim—like X-Plane 10—(I own one btw, so I know what I'm talking about), the physics would be different. That's why you don't see ANYONE on SP stalling their aircraft because of too many G's. You guys getting the point?

How do we know this? Well if you look at a certain Dev's bio, it says that he used to work on the Boeing simulator. I'm not saying it's the Dev's fault that our fighter aircraft fly terribly, no! I'm just wanting to explain why this physics glitch happens.

So when my F-5 bucks and kicks during flight, just remember to ease on the stick, and know that it's just the difference in programming between a Boeing sim, and a Laminar sim.

Activate 1, to jettison hard-points; activate 2, to jettison external fuel tank; VTOL for flaps; trim for rear landing gear. I had to use scaled parts for the landing gear, but the rest is default vanilla parts. Cheers!

We have two accounts on SP. @WNP78

What confuses me is how this was double uploaded by two accounts? Also, the flight model in SP is an asset for unity called UnityFS, and despite Andrew working on flight simulators, that in no way means he singlehandedly made the aerodynamic model.
