Vanguard Class Submarine
Vanguard-class Ballistic Missile Submarine
Users:
Royal Navy
Built: 1986-1999
In Commission: 1993-present
Being the largest submarine manufactured in the United Kingdom, and the third largest class of vessel, the Vanguard class submarine is among the royal navy's greatest vessels. With no ICBM installations installed in its homeland and all freefall bombs decommissioned, the Vanguard class acts as the United Kingdom's sole Nuclear Deterrent.
The class is equipped with four 533mm torpedo tubes, and sixteen ballistic missile tubes. It is designed to launch the American made UGM-133 Trident D5 ballistic missiles, capable of carrying at least eight Multiple Independently Targeted Reentry Vehicles. Powering the class would be the Rolls Royce Rolls-Royce PWR 2 nuclear reactor. Two linked steam turbines power a pump jet propulsor, with two diesel engines acting as emergency generators.
Though it has served well, a replacement program has been in progress to develop a replacement class known as the Dreadnought class, expected to enter service around the late 2020's-early 2030's.

At Tang0five's request, here is the Vanguard Class! My first fully functioning boomer submarine and currently my largest. It's quite responsive on the bow and stern planes for its size, and is stable enough to maintain a constant depth when you set autopilot. Though the flare on the bow's a little rough, I'm happy with how I managed to do the humpack on this thing!
Next up, America's Big Boomer.

Brilliant, top job with this! 1:1 scale but of course!
@MintLynx Sweet. I was also on vacation: Going to the beer capital of the world (Milwaukee, Wisconsin). Sadly they didn't let me take a small sip of Miller Lite
