glider with winch
I am a glider pilot and I got quite bored in quarantine so I decided to make a glider that can be launced without the help of an engine. I couldn't figure out how to make a realistic winch and therefore chose to use a kind of leve?r. I chose performances over the looks of the glider so that is the reason that the glider doesn't have a clear cockpit. ?? Put the VTOL up and use activation group 1 ?to launch. The glider detatches automatically and is? launched at around 672 km/h. This peed can be used to climb steeply to get the highest altitude from the winch. The cruise speed of the glider is around 100 km/h the glider shouldn't need pitch imputs to stay levelled at this speed. The stall speed is around 50 km/h. The whinch when used correctly should be able to launch the glider to 900 meters. The glider has speedbrakes since it otherwise will ta?k??e ages to come down and land. I recommend not to make tailglides with the glider since this will often result in uncontrollable flat spins. SimplePlanes unfortunately doesn't simulate upward windflows like thermals so the flights are almost always just a few minutes.

cool.
I was testing a way to give a bit less yaw input by using the trim. It didn't work really well so if you want your trim to be normal you should change that yourself via the control surface
