After the A-10 was retired and the F-35 took over the main attack role of the A-10. The U.S government came to realise that the F-35 was to expensive for the small ground attack missions and CAS. So they send out a request was send out for light attacker that could fit into that role. And so the A-12 starburst was made. A exelent light attack, and training aircraft. the arnement goes as follows: 4 hydra rocket pods, 2 maverick AGMs, a GAU 30mm vulcan cannon, a 500lb bomb, and 2 sidewinder missles.
