THROTTLE/VTOL " Floats haphazardly on water just like the real life version. Surprisingly Works great without a gyro... But Not fun at all. Only a few pics of the motor setup which made it tough to replicate... My skill level just isn't there.

It took a brave lad to pilot these death machines. The HZ-l De Lackner AerocycleDeveloped as a private venture by the De Lackner Helicopter Company, MountVernon, New York. It was known as the DH-4 Heh-Vector. After its initial flight in1955, the U.S. Army bought a dozen examples for testing mobility on thebattlefield concepts. The idea was an infantry soldier could use an inexpensivepersonal aircraft to maneuver around the enemy.The small personal aircraft concept proved to be impractical and the programscanceled.TH HZ-l had a top speed of 70 mph and a range of 15 miles. It was poweredby a 43 horsepower Kiekhaefer Mercury Mark 55 outboard motor. TheAerocycle started out with airbag landing gear, but by the end of the programthese were switched to the more standard helicopter skid design.
