SUD-Aviation's short-ranged Caravelle: The Jet Lady
Only 3 Caravelle IIIs were delivered on 1960, powered by Rolls-Royce Avons and fitted with all economy class seats to boost the Airline's income following the delivery of Tupolev TU-104s when the airline is almost bankrupt. They were useful for short distances and upgraded for increased speed, fuel-efficiency and range. The Caravelle IIIs were later retired on 2002 before the Super Caravelle 12 on 2003.
