KES Ersatz Neuer Berg is the lead ship of the Ersatz Neuer Berg-class cruiser in service with the Royal Equestrian Navy. She was commissioned in 1923, she was originally classified as a light cruiser larger than her contemporaries. But with her main armament of 8.6 inch guns and her thick armor, she and her future sisters were reclassified as Heavy Cruisers. After the reclassification, she officially was the first Heavy Cruiser of the Royal Equestrian Navy.

She was present in almost all the operations of Equestrian Navy's activity in the south against the Commune Pivden Navy. She participated in bombardment activities in Siege of Komuna. She is also present in the Battles of Yutlandiya, Pivdenna Pleyt, Chorne more and Zymovyy Horyzont. She manage to survive the war and continue to serve the navy onwards until she was decommissioned in 1959. As of now, she is currently a museum ship.

History

She was laid down in 1920 as a replacement for the aging Battlecruiser Viktor von Norden. Launched 2 years later, she was completed in late 1922 and was commissioned in early 1923.
