After suffering numerous Naval losses at the hands of new experimental IJN "Stealth Subs", the US Navy needed to act quickly. Calling for a design to be able to detect, radio the location and hunt the new subs. However, the only radar that powerful at the time in June 1946 was the large "Hurricane '45". A new design was won, and the radar was installed into the nose of the all new B-31. The radome stuck out so much that the engineers named the craft "Anteater". Despite it's looks, the B-31 is quite bulky, but still maneuvrable, with its 5 MGs mounted in it's nose. It's slow speed allows it to strike the Stealth subs, however, leaves it vulnerable to newer Japanese aircraft.

@GrOuNdZeRo Fictional, tho it does share it's name with the actual B-31 Raidmaster.
