Made out of a need to create a high speed and high altitude reconnaissance aircraft, this plane ended up exceeding expectations and was so good at it's job it was almost impossible to intercept, and even developed into a specialized interceptor variant. This plane's streamlining, combined with the low drag inline engines, are considered to have been the main reasons for it's very good performance.

Realizing I never made a base Azalea before, I went ahead with it and used it for practicing with painting/details as well as for flying around in multiplayer. I left some parts faithful to the original, like the vertical axis turret and the flat wings. In general though the plane has an alright amount of speed, good maneuverability and excellent power. Though a little dated in construction, this will always be one of my favorite planes I have built. Enjoy!
