Britten-Norman Defender (Cambodia)

The Britten-Norman Defender is the military variant of the civilian bushplane Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander. First flight was in 1970. It is in service in the British Army Air Corps and several smaller air and police forces around the world.
In 1996, the Royal Cambodian Air Force deployed its three BN-2 Defenders in support of the dry season offensive against Khmer Rouge insurgents. The Defenders were armed with machine guns and rockets. One Defender was lost during the operation.
