PDN-1050D Spearhead
Initially conceived as a Interceptor/Multirole aircraft for the Force aérienne du Nord - Côte nord's air defense forces in the late 1980's however, the aircraft proved to be dissatisfying in the interceptor department when the initial 1050 aircraft had stiff movements and quickly shown its weakness to faster moving aircraft, to which 1050B variants were outfitted with forward facing elevator panes to allow the craft to become more versatile - at the cost of a sheer lack of stability, leading to the aircrafts first test pilot to be killed shortly after take off. The 1050 was almost doomed to fail and a final attempt was outfitted with a fly by wire control which proved to be a success for the aircraft, and the last variant of the craft was outfitted with a more powerful engine. Although Côte nord never officially participated in the Third global war, a large amounts of 1050D aircraft were supplied to Yassia as ground attack aircraft.
