This is the Boeing 377 Stratocruiser. A famous successor of the C-97 Stratofreighter. It first flew in 1947, 3 years after the predecessor.
It had 2 decks, a pressurized cabin, and was larger than the DC-6 and Lockheed Constellation. However, it cost more to buy and operate. A total of 56 Stratocruisers were made, and were retired in 1963.
