The TF-74REC is a reconnaissance and electronic warfare aircraft based on the Sea Vixen. The Corvus has a tandem seat configuration to seat the electronic warfare officer. The TF-74REC was originally designed to be a cheap test aircraft for the Air Intelligence System (AIS), but it was eventually adopted and production began of 15 TF-74RECs to complement the existing Sea Vixen since they share parts. The Corvus is characterized by the hump between the conformal fuel tanks which houses the scanning equipment. In place of the main weapon bays powerful jamming equipment was installed, and the Corvus is fitted with an improved radar housed in the enlarged nose, it is also equipped with a powerful camera. It can carry up to four AMX-14X radar guided missiles for self defense.
