The Jay-3 Trident was another attempt at a contract. This time, the contract was for a Naval fighter. The Jay-3 takes inspiration from aircraft such as the Su-24 and F-14 Tomcat. Summit Aviation, however, did have to do a thourough investigation on the plane. In a freak incident during a mock dogfight with a competing aircraft, the swing wing mechanism had a malfunstion which led the aircraft to catch fire and explode. To this day the cause of the malfuntion has not been solved. // VTOL to swing the wings/Trim for flaps/ 1 for tail hook/2 for brake chute.//
