F/A-18A Hornet
The F/A-18 Hornet is a supersonic, all-weather carrier-capable multirole fighter jet, designed for both air superiority and ground attack missions. It's known for its versatility, agility, and reliability. Developed by McDonnell Douglas (now part of Boeing), the Hornet has been in service since the late 1970s and has seen action in various conflicts worldwide.
The F/A-18 Hornet has undergone several upgrades and variants over the years, including the F/A-18A/B, F/A-18C/D, and the newest versions, the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and the EA-18G Growler, which have improved range, avionics, and payload capabilities.
With its ability to carry a wide range of weapons, including missiles, bombs, and air-to-air and air-to-ground munitions, the Hornet is used by numerous air forces around the globe, including the United States Navy and Marine Corps, Royal Australian Air Force, and others. Its combination of agility, firepower, and versatility has made it a staple in modern aerial warfare.
