PAC P4C Super Pigeon
Yay my first "canon" design with retractable landing gear! :)
The final variant of the P4 model, a true executive airplane with speed.
P4C Super Pigeon, first flown in 1935.
The P4C "Super" Pigeon was the ultimate in the P4 design. While keeping the same R-985 as the P4B, the P4C features a new 4-bladed constant speed prop, enabling the aircraft to bite even more air and achieve much higher speeds. The BIGGEST achievement with the P4C, was that this was PAC's FIRST airplane with retractable landing gear! This enabled the P4C to achieve a max speed of 310 MPH, or 269 Knots, about 22 knots faster than the modern Mooney Aclaim S. It was among the speed kings of it's time, especially considering how it was only a civillian plane. However it's economical crusing speed is 250 MPH, or 217 Knots, much slower than the Mooney Aclaim S. That is it's "Official" cruising speed. 269 Knots is redlining the airframe of the P4C, so the P4C didn't go even close to 269 Knots majority of the time whenever it flew. The 269-knot record was flown at 13,000 feet. Also the P4C featured no nose-wheel steering, and required differential braking instead, however in Simpleplanes the P4C DOES have nose-wheel steering for your convinience.
Majority of the PAC designs following the P4 would be sleek radial aircraft, known as the "Radial Era" in design at PAC.
In total the P4 was produced from 1935 to 1960.
AG-1 = Landing Gear
Landing Gear UP: VTOL DOWN + AG-1, then deactivate AG-1 after landing gear comes up.
Landing Gear DOWN: VTOL UP + AG-1, then deactivate AG-1 after landing gear comes down.
AG-8 = Nav, Beacon, Strobe Lights
AG-7 = Landing Lights
VTOL Slider = Constant Speed Prop
NOTE: DO NOT maneuver this plane in slow motion because strangely parts will start exploding. Don't know why this happens and I'm not gonna bother try fixing it. Just avoid slow motion in this airplane.

@Timmysqueak
Thank you, it was my first attempt at retractable landing gear!
the retract gear design is very nice!
@TheOwlAce
Thanks!
@JohnnyBoythePilot As they say here in Brazil ... it is delicious in olive oil
@Empanadinho
Thanks!
Yeah
@JohnnyBoythePilot
P5A Puffin is currently in the works just FYI.
@TommySchram13
Yes I've noticed this style on your Reno Air Races (Like the Voodoo/Strega P-51 you made).
@JohnnyBoythePilot Ive tried something like that before. it kind of worked for me
Also I tried making the Gear come up on the "G" command, but while it did work, the landing gear always swang at 180, instead of 90 straight down when the gear are supposed to be down. So unfortunately I had to do the gear commands like this. Oh well.
