BAC systems Thunderstorm
So, another build that isn't Webley isles, interesting. It's been a while since I built something for another universe (last time was that Alternative WW2 thingy, and no, I won't abandon that) so I figured hey, why not. And yes, I will use this universe to create even more weird designs. Hehehheehehhehe. Anyways, enjoy, or...
You'll get struck by lightning...yeah...idk
Naval Dorito
The BAC systems Thunderstorm is a 4th generation Multirole fighter jet for it's fleet air arm. The twin stacked engines gives it the necessary speed and acceleration to provide Air interception for fleet air defense, even allowing for supercruising at altitude, while the delta wings gives it great agility and a high payload capacity for ground attack missions.
The thunderstorm was introduced just as the Destiny class carrier, Batania's first CATOBAR carrier, was commissioned. Both were developed in response to the war of Shantinople in the 1970s, where Batania fought a seemingly sponsored and very well armed group of territorists who had invaded the island colony of Shantinople. During this time, the fleet air arm relied on their STOBAR carriers and STOBAR capable fighters, such as the VTOL capable BAC Lilypad and the STOL capable Bristol Spirit, which while sufficient, had certain flaws such as range, payload capacity and even dogfighting, which was surprisingly common during the war (IFF was shit) thus the Royal navy and the fleet air arm convinced parliament for the introduction of the destiny carriers as well as the thunderstorm

So about Batania, since all I've been given is that Batania is the equivalent to the UK, I'll expand it a bit. Just a bit. Here, Batania naturally, a major naval power. Basically Britain if it's military budget wasn't wack. But, for fun, I've decided that it's bureaucracy is worse, meaning that, say, if called to assist in something like a peacekeeping mission by its allies, they're late. Almost always late, except when a major invasion is happening but that hasn't happened (to mainland Batania at least) in what...400 years? Yay. So far, they've been in peacetime for quite a while, not really participating in much wars since that time they took back an island that another country took from them in the 1970's, but we don't worry about that. So yeah.
[It's also a convenient excuse for me to be a bit hands off in this country. I have college to attend to after all]
Liveries
This is the standard livery for most squadrons. Usually, they differentiate by changing the leading edge color, in this case, yellow, but certain squadrons have special liveries. Why? Because they bothered to design a different livery. Nothing is preventing them from creating special liveries for their squad, most are just lazy

What happened to Typhoon
@waylaymythz Adjusting the color he painted it. The smoothness does it if I remember right
How do you add that iridescent effect to the cockpit?
It's interesting how you designed the vertical stabiliser, you can't make it too tall so you made a ridiculously tiny center tail with 2 side vertical tails to provide extra stability
ABSOLUTE CINEMA
This is ridiculously cool, it's like an English Electric Lightning + Eurofighter Typhoon combo, I absolutely love this. Instant favorite.
Awesome. I love how you built on to Batania’s lore considering I’ve got basically nothing for it.
