Welp, after a long time, I have returned
Now, while this may not seem too detailed by the looks of it in the thumbnail, I promise you, this holds much more in it. I've put a ton of effort into the smoothness of the fuselage, and the landing gear as well. The wings are also super smooth, and this is fully carrier-capable as the real one would have been. Anyways, lets get to it.

History

In 1944, the lesser-known Kaiser-Fleetwings company submitted a design to the USN that was supposed to be a high-altitude interceptor capable of light bombing
They used 2 1,600 HP V12 engines, each powering a pair of 6-bladed contra-rotating propellers, and then 2 more 2,200 IbF jet engines inside those nacelles. There would also be the main gear in this

Simply put, the USN did not look into this any further than the drawings. The size of the aircraft, the complexity of the nacelles, and the usage of an inline piston engine (which are more complex and require more maintenance) all cancelled this design. In fact, there are only 2 accounts of it I could find on the open web: one on Military Factory, and one on a random forum post on another website.

It's armament would have consisted of 4 either .50 cals or 20mms, and then 3 hardpoints, 1 under each wing, and 1 on the centerline. The cockpit has a very high visibility rating, too

Also, this is not a small aircraft. It is very like the F7F, but it is like twice its size. It's length is 60 feet and its wingspan is 70 feet. The F7F is 45 feet and 51 feet, respectively.

Anyways, this is a dope aircraft I did as a side project away from my B-36 project. My next project is going to be super cool, and it's a complete redo of my Super Hawk design from earlier. Another user has made me a brilliant new blueprint I intend on using. And I want to put a lot of detail in, much more than I did to this.

    @JuanShot2Go I just realized I phrased what I said horribly
    Much like the B-36 or FR-1, this aircraft would have used the props as the main. The jets wouldn't have provided sufficient thrust to truly fly normally, but really just a controlled glide. They could work together to significantly improve performance, at the downfall of a lot of fuel consumption. The jets were for take off or interception/going to altitude

    @JuanShot2Go thanks!!
    .
    So Kaiser-Fleetwings was a failing company, and they wanted something really stupendously powerful for the era.
    The jets and props were mostly just for take off and maneuvering for dogfighting and/or catching the enemy, as the jets consume way too much fuel
    .
    The navy didn't like the complexity of the nacelles

    A fascinating design. What was the intention behind having both props and jets. Were they for different phases of flight, or to work together.
