Albatross - A Pure Flying Wing

21.5k SimpleEric  8.7 years ago

An entry for the Flying Wing Challenge held by @General360.

This is a pure flying wing, which means, there are no vertical surfaces built to stablize the plane, and there are no xml edits as well.

A plane without vertical stablizer will easily get into stall. My solution is propulsion vectoring generated by propeller pitch function. The outer engines provide forces to push/pull the left/right sides of the plane, so a yaw vector is produced and the plane could stay unde... er control.

I did a search and this is probably the first flying wing that use this method. I'm very proud of it and I hope this method spreads.

I think this challenge is very nice;)

Enjoy!
