After the huge succes of the Super Stargazer, Newland decided to start an air-travel revolution by introducing the Atmoscruiser. The plane was ment to be the cruiseship of the sky. However, a major flaw caused a terrible accident on the maiden voyage. The upper part of the plane ripped from the lower part, dividing the plane in two pieces. The upper part landed in Alaska, and the lower ended up in China. All planes were scrapped in 1959.
