(Custom) RFA-10 'Warrior'
CONTROLS ARE ON THE 2nd IMAGE
An generic multirole attacker. Im really happy with how this turned out. Oh, and there’s a auto turret that barely works
It first flew in 1944, being designed to take on mutliple roles in a single mission, with its utility, speed, and suprising agility. It was approved for production under the name "warrior" in 1945. It never served in the war, but was involved with multiple skirmishes in smaller conflicts, where it faced off against jets to questionable results. As result, it increasingly became used as a ground attack aircraft, where its ability to prey on helicopters and more sluggish attackers was of much value. It was retired in 1978, after 4000 were built and serving with 5 different air arms. The aircraft here is an earily variant from the 50's, as shown by its unfinished paint job, lack of countermeasures, and lack of a rear weapons operator.
WARNING: much like my previous aircraft, this thing explodes when exposed to higher realism settings. Additionally, the landing gear has a tendency to go whack and spring up over the cockpit when taking certain damage, which won’t matter too much I hope. The flaps also are pretty much crappy airbrakes so use them while landing. The Turret AI is pretty bad, Thank you to @NumbersNumbersTheMan for showing me how to use the Variables correctly!
