Brief History

¹The TR-65 was a mid-Cold War Era MBT manufactured by Romanian company Mechanical Factory Bucharest . the TR-65 was based on the TR-580 and T-55 , the only prime difference is a better 100mm gun , better but somewhat weaker engine ,the TC Cupola and a more reliable transmission but it's somewhat slower by 4 Km/h.

Development History and Design Overview

After the Romanian Government refused to take part of the Prague Spring ,Romania started to manufacture T-55 of their own ,which resulted the T-77-580 ,but the Army thought T-77-850 wasn't enough and could get some upgrades, the Army tasked Institute 111 to think for some possible upgrade for the T-77-580 ,

the Institute proposed to mount a 689 Horsepower V-12 Diesel Engine , a thicker armor ,a experimental Infrared sight for the Commander .

a 4 Forward-Speed and 3 Reverse-speed Transmission which gave it exceptional reverse speed , the armor increased from 120mm to 140mm on the hull upper glacis which gave it more protection.

The commander also received a Infrared sight complimented with a Infrared Spotlight which allowed the commander to shoot and find targets (yes ,the commander can shoot from his seat) which allowed the tank to fight in low-level light conditions and low-visibility conditions ,The TC's cupola was also changed which allowed the commander to have 360° of FOV.
