Alternate history: superheavy biplane bomber
Before I create a long history for this plane, I will state the basics: VTOL any direction to rotate bomb bay, 1 to drop bomb (bomb created by MaxTeoZ). Plane tilts down, but holding back on joystick slightly counters it. Alternate history time: shortly after WWI, British military leaders were asking for a bomber that could carry a heavy bombload over a long distance. Tea Aircraft Industries responded to this request by creating a revolutionary superheavy bomber. The bomber had many revolutionary features. It contained a rotary bomb bay for advanced aerodynamics. To create room for a giant bomb bay, the cockpit was moved into the wings: there was a cockpit on the left lower wing and the right lower wing, the pilots could take turns controlling the bomber for long range missions. In order to save weight and drag, defensive armament was abandoned. The behemoth was originally powered by 10 engines, 8 underneath the upper wings and 2 directly behind the pilots. What could possibly go wrong?....... The aircraft proved to be unable to take off in test flights. To solve this, the engine count was doubled from 10 to 20. The aircraft had massive fuel allowing it to still have a long flight endurance time. Despite the giant bomb bay, the plane only carried one large bomb due to weight restrictions. The rotary bomb bay was not needed due to the plane already being slow. The aircraft was generally disliked by its crews. No defensive armament for a slow bomber proved to make it an easy target for fighters. In even a minor crash, the pilots would be crushed by the engines behind them. Bailing out was impossible due to the engines being so close to the pilot: he would be shredded by propellers. The aircraft gained the nickname "Afterlife Express". It was not surprising that it was phased out of service shortly after its introduction. The remaining 12 aircraft were sold to Russia, where Stalin forced political opponents to try to bomb Berlin in them.... The plane had a use a
