High Colossus Steam Train

2,723 RasucitNemilos  5.9 years ago

This is the final version of the High Colossus, my largest and most advanced steam train. Do not let its weight of 1.23 million pounds fool you — it can accelerate past 100 MPH on Yeager Airport. The bell is, sadly, merely for show. There is a firebox which lights up when the train's speed is increased. The smokestack is automatic and powered by two cleavers. There are two cameras in the cab, a camera on the rear car, and an orbit camera inside the locomotive. If you want to remove most of the weight, take all the fuel out of the engine and the coal tender.

The controls are:
AG1 - Trim for reverser, VTOL for thrust
AG2 - throttle up to 100% for locomotive brake.
AG3 - throttle up to 100% for train brake.

Do not use the train brake while the High Colossus is in motion as it may cause the brakes to explode, which may result in the cleavers detonating if the explosion reaches the smokestack.

Have fun! ALL ABOARD!!!

I'll make the train on IOS then publish it temporarily, then I can download it on PC, add the smoke trails, then delete the original and publish the new one. Sound good? @Kalanimcd

I found one of the trains but unfortunately I can’t get it because it uses a mod I don’t have. I always used a cleaver for smokestacks so I didn’t need to use a mod. When I get SP on the pc I will try it out @Kalanimcd

I don’t and unfortunately I’m on iOS so that may be a bit of a problem. I may get it on PC eventually but for now I'll just use Yeager Airport. I might upgrade the engines to J90s just for the speed but for now I’m satisfied. Thanks for the recommendation though! @Kalanimcd

Thanks! It took a while to make, especially starting out the body of the locomotive. Also, I’m not sure if you noticed, but when the train gets moving, the drive wheels aren’t moving at all. Also I was going to make each car have 8 wheels but I was trying to keep the part count down. I might make another train eventually, but I’m gonna keep it at this one for now :) @Kalanimcd
