Yakovlev Yak-40
Year of the first flight - 1966. Designed by Design Bureau Yakovlev. Yak-40 became the world's first jet aircraft of local airlines. Yak-40 was also the first production aircraft of the USSR, received the certificate of airworthiness in Western Europe (Italy and Germany).
Yak-40 Production continued from 1967 to 1981. In total were produced in 1011 aircraft, of which 125 were exported to 18 countries. Today, Yak-40 continues to be operated on regular routes, as well as business jets.
