Unnamed test rig
A generic test plane intended for experiments involving the OG engines. The aircraft underwent tests against the F-42 rocket as the baseplane. Here are the results.
For a quick hot take, it was worse than the Rocket. Whilst much faster off the line when you're working with a carrier borne fighter that's not really an issue. As for speed, the aircraft averaged a speed of 330mph at 1000ft. The Rocket proved fairly superior, as even when fully loaded the Rocket achieved a speed of 400mph. Keep in mind the engines seem to be 4 cylinder V engines, whilst the Rocket uses 1 8 cylinder radial, which would probably be a fair bit easier to maintain. Overall the tests were not successful, and I do not currently intend to use these engines in any aircraft, public or private again.
