B-17 Flying Fortress [Obsolete Model]
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress is a four-engine heavy bomber aircraft developed in the 1930s for the United States Army Air Corps (USAAC). The B-17 was primarily employed by the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) in the daylight precision strategic bombing campaign of World War II against German industrial and military targets.
This is my third rendition of real world planes and it my most favorite to fly. It has stiff handling (its a heavy bomber so its not meant to be agile) but flys straight and true.
She is equipped with a payload of 15 '500lbs' bombs that are released by detachment #2. The pilot has a choice to jettison the landing gear for smoother aerodynamics using detachment #1. Be a mindful bombardier and be sure to drop the payload at level flight or you might crash into your own bombs!
You might have to turn down your graphics settings if on a phone/tablet.
