Horton MMXXII - "Amerikabomber"
Building Note:
I was fascinated by the flying wing or wing-body-blended designs, (such as Horton 229, USAAF's YB49 and YB35 from the 1940s). Horton's flying wings concepts inspire this design and the one from Indiana Jone's movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark." I have been building this 3-4 months ago and improving it. At this point, I am closer to 50K points, so I want to post it as a "beta" version for you all to play with this.
I made it as real as possible, and reduced the top speed to 290 mph at level flight.
The Amerikabomber
The Amerikabomber (English: America bomber) project was an initiative of the German Ministry of Aviation (Reichsluftfahrtministerium) to obtain a long-range strategic bomber for the Luftwaffe. This bomber would be capable of striking the United States(specifically New York City) from Germany, a round-trip distance of about 11,600 km (7,200 mi). The concept was raised as early as 1938 by Generalleutnant Walter Wever. But advanced plans for such a long-range strategic bomber design did not begin to appear before Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring until early 1942. Various proposals were put forward, but these plans were all eventually abandoned as they were too expensive, too reliant on rapidly-diminishing material and production capacity, and technically unfeasible.
Adolf Hitler was fascinated with the idea of New York City in flames. In 1937, Willy Messerschmitt hoped to win a lucrative contract by showing Hitler a prototype of the Messerschmitt Me 264 that was being designed to reach North America from Europe. The Luftwaffe's commander-in-chief, Hermann Göring, said, "I completely lack the bombers capable of round-trip flights to New York with a 4.5-tonne bomb load. I would be thrilled to possess such a bomber, which would ultimately stuff the mouth of arrogance across the sea."

@TheAviator77 Thanks, I mean Horten, but it was too late to fix after SP curated this. Well, I just focus on my builds and not the writing.
I believe that it is "Horten"

@WinsWings
hi, i uploaded a B variant look
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/fdV858/YR-001B-starlight
@DNA I know. it could spin sometime. if that happens shut down the engines and try to recover. Well, controlling a flying wing is harder than a regular plane. Besides, I don't want to add hidden wings (to make it easier to fly). I want to test the real response of a flying wing design.
Sometimes the elevation angle is too high to get out of control \ (` δ')/
@WinsWings
You are Welcome!
@Timothy19452022 thank you!
Truly Beautiful, And amazing! I haven't tested it out Yet; But I will Later!
@WinsWings Welcome (:
@MrKtheguy thank you friend
Stunning!
@Deeznutz10182 That's true, be gentle, don't fly it like a fighter plane, it is a gentle bomber; just to deliver the "payload" to the destination
For some reason when i pull the yoke too much it just becomes a bowling ball
Thanks @Zaineman
So good
