PE-1a "Pickett"
This is a fictional aircraft inspired by the small, nimble single-seat biplane fighters of the early First World War. This plane features an open cockpit with articulated controls, so the stick, rudder pedals, and throttle all move with the corresponding control inputs. This plane is decently maneuverable, probably on-par with the planes early in the war. Like many of the planes in the era, it feels a little tail-heavy in flight, but it is a stable plane, very easy to fly, and it does have one machine gun mounted on the top wing so you can go out and be a proper bloody nuisance! AG1 controls the cockpit light. I wanted to paint only the bottoms of the wings sky blue and the tops olive drab(ish), but because the wing panels are just one piece, I had to use one uniform color. I am very proud of how this plane came out, and I hope all of you enjoy it as much as I do! I love viewing from the chase camera, zooming way out, and panning to a bird's eye view as I fly through the canyons just to the canyons near Bandit Airfield! Oh, and PE stands for "Phaze Experimental," and the "Pickett" name is just something I came up with. It has kind of that innocent charm to it. :)

@Stellarlabs Would you upvote this one?
@silentflight Thank you!
You are in fact a amazing builder
Modern jets are a disgrace to all of history. @Phaz3Shift
@Phaz3Shift yeah
@SMHrubix Yeah, man! For me, once aviation went fly-by-wire, it all went downhill. Modern planes are fantastic, but they just don't have the soul that the old birds did, you know? I love those kinds of planes that, when you fasten the straps, you aren't strapping yourself to the plane- you're strapping the plane to yourself!
Amazing job! I miss the days when these aircraft were made of wood and fabric, they were more natural, the controls were an extension of you, where as today you move the control stick of an F-18 an eighth of an inch and you get knife edge flight.
@PlanesOfOld Yeah, definitely! So overshadowed by WWII. So many think that these old birds were just flimsy pieces of wood and cloth that just fell apart when someone sneezed on them, and they laugh if I tell them about the altitudes where they cruised and even how the Red Baron's dogma was to avoid wasting ammo on the airframe. Wood and fabric aircraft have some kind of stigma... But, I guess that makes them more of a treasure for those who appreciate them!
@A3 Thanks!
@Phaz3Shift, yes it is.
OMG SO SO SO SO CUTE ^^

Yes tis, they get forgotten too easily! @Phaz3Shift
@PlanesOfOld I think we will! It's always nice to meet enthusiasts for the older aircraft!
You and I sir shall be good friends. You remind me of old me (the one from about a year ago) @Phaz3Shift
Please do not build the Somme, I have family who died there. @TheBigEgg
@ChiChiWerx Thanks. That's a pretty remarkable video. I'll bet it's strangely peaceful up there.
@Phaz3Shift exactly correct, glad you recognize the U-2!
@ChiChiWerx Thanks! I had a ton of fun designing it, for sure!
I like your avatar. That's the guy flying the U2 spy plane, isn't it?
@EternalDarkness Thanks a ton! That's exactly the plan- ever-increasing detail and quality!
Very nice. Keep up this level of quality (and keep improving over time), and you'll get far. I'm following you to see it happening.
Nice little plane!
@TheBigEgg Done.
you too ,by by
@dragunove29 Take care!

@dragunove29 No problem!
thank you very much !!!!
