@Kerbango your using the smart cut out. Change it to circular cut out then flip transparent with solid.

@worldwaraviations015 I tried, photoshop didn't like the circles and kept erasing chunks of the circle, when I removed background, even with a circular mask.

@Graingy yes, but slapping a couple on the wings of a 200 part biplane really isn't going to affect performance much. Seeing as these are World War I roundels.
Also, these are low resolution pictures, about the same resolution as our gravatars.
