Auto Credit Based on Flewey's RAF Challenge (WWII)
During the second world war, great Britain had many bombers. Avro 679 Manchester, Handley Page Hampden, Armstrong Whitworth A.W.38 Whitley, Blackburn Botha, Bristol Beaufort, Bristol Buckingham, Vickers Wellington. But not all of them were perfect in their characteristics. Then one of the self-taught provincial engineers offered his plane.
So the "Average" bomber was born-a twin-engine deck bomber with a maximum payload of 2 tons, a maximum speed of 600 km / h and capable of taking off from the deck of an aircraft carrier.
Entered service in 43, it became an indispensable assistant in major operations far from British soil.
