On May 18, 1990, Aerolift Flight 75 (model: Beech 1900C-1) took off from Manila International Airport and headed for Surigao Airport. After takeoff of Flight 75, due to engine failure of Engine 2, the crew made an error (unable to correctly execute the prescribed emergency procedures, unable to maintain sufficient flight speed and altitude). At 6:23 am that day, Flight 75 crashed in a block 1 kilometer south of Manila International Airport, killing all 21 people on board (2 crew members and 19 passengers) and 4 ground personnel.
